The Making of Solar Neroli
With its natural beauty, charming architecture and year-round sunshine, the island of Palm Beach is a haven of warmth and cheer. LUMIRA founder Almira Armstrong once called this south Florida locale home and she’s experienced firsthand its uniquely radiant energy.
She’s basked in the sun’s intensity and admired the way it raises every hue to a technicolour expression – the glare of a white stucco wall adorned with an explosion of fuchsia bougainvillaea, the lush verdant lawns rolling towards the shimmering aquamarine of the Atlantic shoreline and the omnipresent palm trees swaying seductively against the azure sky.
“Palm Beach is the quintessential vacation destination where soft, white sand stretches as far as the eye can see and the streets are filled with conversation and laughter,” Armstrong says. “Its positivity and charm are quite infectious.”
To evoke the radiant energy of this very special destination, Armstrong imagined a citrus-heavy composition in which a generous squeeze of sweet mandarin, tangy lemon and sun-drenched orange celebrate joy. This is balanced by the fragility of neroli and the rich earthiness of vetiver and moss.
Sustainability at the heart of Solar Neroli
This luxury candle has been made in accordance with our earth-friendly principles. The composition of essential oils used to create the fragrance includes six upcycled ingredients, such as sustainably sourced American cedarwood and cold-pressed orange oil from Brazil. The formula is highly biodegradable and crafted with reduced carbon emissions and reduced water consumption. It uses Green Chemistry to minimise waste, pollution and harm to the environment across the whole lifecycle of the product. This is enhanced by the use of an eco-friendly soy-coconut wax. As with all Lumira candles, Solar Neroli is free from parabens, bleaches, dyes, palm oil, lead and tin.
