Florescence - A collaboration with Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney
We are so excited to have literally poured the heart of Sydney into our new limited edition scented candle FLORESCENCE – a botanical collaboration with Australia’s iconic Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
Not only does it smell incredible, proceeds from the candle will help protect Australia’s natural environment by supporting the ground breaking science and conservation work undertaken by the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
FLORESCENCE combines the unique scent of Australia’s oldest living botanic garden and science institution - a subtropical green garden, filled with florals, herbs and spices from around the world.
“I have fond memories of the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, from a child right through to taking my own children there now. It’s an important part of Australian history and I was excited to be part of its story.
The scent was inspired by the lush, floral gardens and my intention is that people can take a little bit of the garden – and of Sydney – home with them.”

A luxurious blend of tangerine and clove is elevated by magnolia, jasmine, gardenia and neroli and settles with earthy notes of patchouli, amber and sandalwood.
The Garden’s Director of Horticultural Management, Jimmy Turner said “The core of our work is the conservation of plants - but we are also so much more than that. The Garden is a sanctuary for people to disconnect from the busy bustle of day-to-day life and unplug. Green places speak to all of our senses; site, touch, taste, sound and smell and this collaboration with LUMIRA elevates those senses by bringing a bit of that peace and serenity found at the Garden into your home.
Personally, FLORESCENCE transports me to the same space of reflection I get while walking through the Garden and it will hopefully remind people of the importance that plants play in all of our lives.”
